The manufacturing unit of the company has been inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
BrahMos and drones become center of attraction in UP trade show
With the beginning of UP International Trade Show, the glimpse of defense sector is attracting people's attention. On one hand the model of BrahMos is attracting people, on the other hand visitors are also reaching the stall to know the technology of drones and their capabilities.
A model of supersonic cruise missile has been displayed at the stall of BrahMos. The message of Make in India – Make for the World is also prominently visible here. Along with the models of missiles, visitors are also getting information about the work related to defense manufacturing being done in Uttar Pradesh.
Interest on BrahMos increased after Amit Shah's statement
During the inauguration of the trade show, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had mentioned the growing defense manufacturing sector in Uttar Pradesh. He had said that at one time there was talk of manufacturing pistols in Uttar Pradesh, whereas now BrahMos missile is being manufactured in the state.
Referring to BrahMos, Amit Shah had said that BrahMos made in Uttar Pradesh is giving 'sleepless nights' to Pakistan. After his statement, BrahMos stall was also in discussion in the trade show and people were seen arriving to see the model of the missile.
People coming to see the drone which came into discussion in OP Sindoor
Drones have also become a special attraction for the people at the defense stall. During Operation Sindoor, there was a lot of discussion about the role of drones and drone technology. Visitors are reaching the stall to see the drones displayed in the trade show and to get information related to their use.

BrahMos integration and testing facility being built in Lucknow
A large defense infrastructure related to BrahMos has also been prepared in Uttar Pradesh. BrahMos Integration and Testing Facility Center has been established in Lucknow, which is part of the UP Defense Industrial Corridor. Here work related to assembly, integration and testing of supersonic cruise missile is done.
Investment and manufacturing related to defense sector is being promoted in the state through UP Defense Industrial Corridor. The presence of BrahMos and drones in the trade show has become a major medium to present this changing defense ecosystem to the people.
UP trade show will run from 25 to 29 September
UP International Trade Show 2026 is being organized from 25 to 29 September at India Expo Center and Mart, Greater Noida. Apart from defence, products related to electronics, IT, agriculture, textile, MSME and other sectors are being displayed in the trade show.
