Oracle layoffs: Tech giant Oracle will again lay off employees, cuts may start from this month

Oracle layoffs: Giant tech company Oracle is once again preparing to lay off employees. According to the report, the company is taking a loan of billions of dollars for its Artificial Intelligence Infrastructure and also wants to reduce its payroll expenses. According to the report, managers have been asked to identify potentially affected employees. Some teams may see headcount reductions by double-digit percentages. However, Oracle has not yet officially confirmed this possible layoff.

This potential layoff comes at a time when Oracle also cut its workforce earlier this year. Recent regulatory filings revealed that the company's employee strength decreased by 21,000 (i.e. 13%) during the financial year ending May 31, 2026, which also included layoffs.

“Our adoption and implementation of AI technology across our operations has resulted in and may lead to further headcount reductions,” Oracle said in its annual financial regulatory filing.

The company said that it currently has about 141,000 employees. However, information about how many employees will be affected by the new possible layoffs has not been revealed yet. The level of reductions in some teams is said to reach double-digit percentages.
