West Indies’ innings faltered despite the lead in the first innings

Despite captain Shan Masood’s brilliant century and Imam-ul-Haq’s brilliant half-century, Pakistani batsmen could not equalize the score in the first innings and West Indies got a significant lead of 29 runs. However, in the second innings of the game, the Pakistani bowlers did not give any chance to the host team to recover with their disciplined bowling and within no time more than half of the batsmen of the Caribbean team returned to the pavilion.

Bowlers’ brilliance: Mohammad Abbas and Khurram Shahzad wreaked havoc

By the end of the third day’s play, West Indies had lost 7 important wickets on the score of just 126 runs in their second innings. Thus, the total lead of West Indies is now 155 runs, which is considered too low for victory. In the second innings for Pakistan, fast bowlers Mohammad Abbas and Khurram Shahzad displayed killer bowling. Abbas bowled lethally and took 3 big wickets, while Shahzad showed the path of 2 batsmen to the pavilion. Apart from this, Mohammad Ali and Aamir Jamal also got one success each. For West Indies, Tejnarine Chanderpaul scored the highest score of 35 runs, but apart from him, no other batsman of the Caribbean team could stay on the field.
