Pakistan Cricket Team made their way to Clarence House to meet King Charles III after the end of the second test match against England.
The team, led by Babar Azam along with Chariman Pakistan Cricket Board Mohsin Naqvi arrived at the royal estate on Wednesday, September 2 for a brief meeting with the king.
Babar presented a cricket bat to the king, which was signed by all team players.
The meeting was a pause between the chaos that has ensued during the tour.
The team’s England tour has been marked by heavy defeats, sweeping squad changes and increasing scrutiny surrounding Babar’s own form and leadership.
During the tour, seven players from the squad were released and others were brought in as replacement which the fans termed as a “knee-jerk reaction”.
Pakistani fans have been calling for immediate change sto the team and leadership after a disappointing season.
Now, the team is preparing for the final match of the tour which will be played at Edgbaston next week.
