Pakistan wants to join the BRICS, China's support! What action is New Delhi?

In fact, New Delhi is the focal point of this conference of the world's emerging superpowers. Among them, Pakistan has been trying to join BRICS for 3 years. According to sources, Pakistan applied to join the BRICS alliance in 2023. Currently, 29 countries have pending applications to join BRICS. This includes Pakistan. Sources say that China supports Pakistan's accession to BRICS. Islamabad also sought help from Russia. However, that application of 2023 was rejected due to New Delhi's objection. Among BRICS countries, New Delhi has veto power. By using that power, India blocked Pakistan's entry into BRICS.

BRICS last expanded in 2023. Six countries are included in the BRICS. That list includes Argentina, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates. As a result of the inclusion of those countries, the BRICS countries currently have 49 percent of the world's population. These countries control 40 percent of the total economy. As a result, BRICS is one of the most important blocs in terms of world trade.

Pakistan wanted to use the BRICS platform to solve its economic woes. Currently Pakistan's GDP growth rate is only 3.70 percent. India's trade with this alliance also increased significantly. India's exports to BRICS member countries increased by 48.8 percent from $64.3 billion to $95.7 billion. Pakistan also wants to increase trade in the same way. But it is sand. New Delhi will not accept Pakistan's accession in any way.
