Pakistan women’s team announced for Sri Lanka tour, know who will take command of T20 and ODI teams

Pakistan Women Cricket Team Squad: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the women’s team for the tour of Sri Lanka. A series of three ODI and three T20 matches will be played between the two teams from July 23 to August 4. The ODI team will be captained by Fatima Sana, while Muniba Ali Siddiqui will take command of the team in her absence in the T20 series.

On the basis of his excellent performance, he also got a place in the team of the tournament.

New talents also got a chance

The selectors have made a big change in the T20 team and have given a chance to new talent by dropping eight players from the team playing the World Cup. Iman Naseer, Humana Bilal, Maham Anees, Momina Riyasat, Naziha Alvi, Shawal Zulfikar, Umm-e-Hani and Waheeda Akhtar have been included in the team. Among them, Iman Naseer, Maham Anees and Momina Riyasat have not yet got a chance to make their T20 international debut and they can play the first match for Pakistan on this tour.

When will these matches be played?

Two uncapped players Maham Anees and Saira Jabeen have also been given a chance in the ODI team. These three ODI matches will be part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025-29. The ODI matches will be played on 23, 25 and 28 July, while the T20 series will start from 31 July. After this, the second T20 will be played on 2nd August and the third and 4th T20.

Pakistan women’s team tour of Sri Lanka

The Pakistan team will reach Sri Lanka on July 20, where practice sessions will be held on July 21 and 22. The support staff along with the team includes manager Ayesha Ashar, head coach and mentor Wahab Riaz, spin bowling coach Abdur Rehman, fast bowling coach Umaid Asif, batting coach Imran Farhat and fielding coach Abdul Majeed. On the Sri Lanka tour, Pakistan will be eyeing a strong start in the new cycle ICC Women’s Championship by winning both the ODI and T20 series.
