'Palms hot and police soft', Akhilesh Yadav's sharpest attack on Yogi government till date

National President of Samajwadi Party and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav has once again launched a scathing attack against the Yogi government. In one of his new video statements, he put the state government in the dock on the issues of corruption, payment of dues to contractors, lax functioning of the police and ever-increasing crime. Akhilesh Yadav alleged that there is only loot everywhere in the functioning of the present government and the people of the state are watching all these issues very closely.

Questions raised on contractors' payment and parking earnings

SP chief Akhilesh Yadav raised the issue of payment of dues to contractors and targeted the policies of the government. He sarcastically said that this would be the first government in the country which is selling properties after paying the contractors. He further cited the potential huge earnings from parking, café-restaurants, clubs and convention centres. Akhilesh said that at the price at which these properties have been sold, that amount can be earned through parking alone. Explaining the mathematics, he said that even if Rs 600 is earned from parking alone, the total income from it can be easily estimated.

Serious allegations against architect and project worth Rs 3000 crore

In his statement, Akhilesh Yadav, while mentioning an engineer and a minister, again raised questions on his earlier comments regarding helipad and parking. Making a big allegation, he said that the same controversial architect, who was claimed to be getting the investigation done, was given a huge project worth Rs 3000 crore for the railway station being built in Delhi. The SP President alleged that every decision and work of this government is being done only with the aim of filling its pockets, even at the lower level, there is open looting in the tehsils.

'Palms are hot and police are soft', attack on law and order

Making a strong attack on the police system of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav gave a new slogan – “Palms are hot and police is soft.” Referring to the victims from Bundelkhand, Gurjar community leader Bhati, PDA community leaders and Mohit Jat, he raised questions on the attitude of the concerned police captain.

Along with this, he cited the incident of mafia from other states coming to the border of UP and openly opening fire. Referring to a particular case, he said that the criminals fired 18 bullets without any fear. Making a direct attack on the government, Akhilesh Yadav asked the question that if there is no internal partnership between the government and the criminals, then why is this entire matter being covered up?

Questions raised on justice for victims and 'bulldozer' policy

The SP chief said that in that serious case, the victim's father, wife and brother are continuously pleading for justice, but the government is not concerned about their plight. Questioning Yogi government's claims of 'bulldozer' and 'encounter', he said that under the rule of people who talk big day and night, criminals from other states are coming here and committing major crimes without any fear. Akhilesh Yadav said in a warning manner that “this time people will not be saved” and claimed that the people of the state are waiting for the right time.
