A case of robbery of Rs 1 crore from a businessman's staff has come to light near ITO in the capital Delhi. It is alleged that two scoundrels riding a scooty stopped the auto on the Outer Ring Road and committed the crime at pistol point. It is being told that the miscreants fled from the spot with a bag full of notes which was with the businessman's staff. The incident is said to have happened on 7th September. After receiving information about the incident, the police have registered an FIR and started investigation. The police are now scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the surrounding areas to identify the miscreants and find out their escape route.
Employees were carrying Rs 3 crore
According to the information, two employees of businessman Vipin had boarded an auto from Kucha Mahajani in Delhi to go to Safdarjung. Both the employees had a total of Rs 3 crore in different bags. It is being told that two youths riding a scooter stopped the auto near Shanti One Red Light and threatened the employees by showing a pistol. After this the miscreants fled from the spot with a bag containing Rs 1 crore filled with currency notes. The police involved in the investigation of the incident are scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area, so that the identity of the miscreants and their escape route can be ascertained.
Loot of Rs 1 crore took place on 7th September
According to Delhi Police, on Monday evening, September 7, miscreants looted Rs 1 crore in cash at gunpoint from a person traveling in an autorickshaw in Daryaganj area. The attackers riding a bike fled from the spot with a bag full of cash. Police have registered the case and started investigation.
Questions on security arrangements before BRICS conference
This is not the first incident of robbery in the middle of the road in Delhi. Such incidents have been reported in the capital before also. However, this time the incident has happened at a time when the BRICS conference is to be held in a few days and Delhi Police is claiming to have strong security arrangements in the capital.
