In the video footage, two youths are seen stealing shoes from the dead body of a flood victim on the banks of Bhotekoshi river.
After this video clip released by Nepal Police went viral on social media, there was huge anger among the people. Nepal Police has come into action after the video of youth pulling out jewelery from the dead body of a woman went viral. Nepal Police has arrested 25-year-old Madan Gurung and 38-year-old Umesh Chaudhary in Chitwan.

It can be seen in the video clip that after the disaster in Nepal, the dead body of a woman has been brought to Tanai. In the video, two youths are near the dead bodies. Both of them are holding the wooden plank and the woman's hair and pulling the dead body out of the water. Then he removes the earrings from both the woman's ears and keeps them aside, while many people standing around are seen making a video of this.
Action was taken immediately after the video went viral. Nepal Police shared this 41-second video and said that two youths have been taken into custody for stealing earrings from a dead woman.

effects of catastrophic flood
The number of people losing their lives is also increasing in Nepal. So far 469 people have died, more than 1500 people are missing. This also includes 290 Indian citizens who have not been contacted till now. According to the police, so far 466 injured people have been evacuated safely from the flood affected areas. The rescue operation is being conducted on a war footing. Nepali Army personnel rescued people trapped inside the tunnel of Trishuli Hydropower Plant. Relief and rescue work is going on in the entire area and meanwhile, the inhuman trend of removing jewelery from dead bodies has created anger in Nepal.
