It was not easy to bat on a difficult pitch: Pat Cummins
After the end of the match, Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins admitted that the wicket was quite challenging for the batsmen. He praised the bowlers of Gujarat Titans and said that the opposing team bowled very disciplined and excellent T20.
Cummins also said that one bad match will not break his team’s confidence, because the batsmen have performed brilliantly throughout the season. He said that the team has already won five to six matches, due to which there is some relief for the upcoming matches.
Gujarat bowlers created havoc
Batting first, Gujarat Titans scored 168 runs losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Sunrisers Hyderabad had a very bad start and the entire team was reduced to only 86 runs in 14.5 overs.
Gujarat’s fast bowlers maintained pressure on Hyderabad’s batsmen from the very beginning. Due to continuous fall of wickets, Hyderabad team could never make a comeback in the match.
Shameful record registered in the name of Hyderabad
This became the lowest all out score of Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL history. At the same time, this was the second lowest score of any team against Gujarat Titans. Earlier in 2022, Lucknow Super Giants team was limited to 82 runs.
