This feature, introduced ahead of Friendship Day, allows friends, families, or any group to easily track their shared expenses. Whether it’s a trip, a restaurant bill, shopping, or any other group activity, splitting expenses and keeping track of them will now be easier than ever.

Paytm says that the Split Bills feature allows users to create a new group and add as many shared expenses as they wish. There are no additional fees or limits for this. Expenses can be divided equally among all members, based on a fixed amount, or individual portions can be set based on needs. The app will display each member’s share, total expenses, and remaining payments in one place.
You can make instant payments through Paytm UPI
This feature allows you to pay outstanding balances directly through Paytm UPI. When making a payment, the amount and the sender’s details are automatically filled in. This reduces the time required for sending money and reduces the chance of errors. If someone hasn’t paid their share yet, a reminder can be sent from within the app.
How to use Split Bills feature
- To use this feature, first open the Paytm app and go to the Pay Anyone section.
- There, select the Split Bills option. Then, create a new group.
- Now add your contacts and choose the group name and category.
- Then fill in the expense details and indicate who made the payment and how the expenses are to be divided.
- After this, the app will show the dues of all the members and the payment can also be settled easily from there.
