Peace committee meeting organized in Masodhi police station premises regarding Bakrid

Masaurhi:- To conduct the Bakrid festival in a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere, a peace committee meeting was organized under the leadership of Police Station President Vivek Bharti in the Masaurhi police station premises on Friday. Social workers, teachers, public representatives, intellectuals and people from different communities of the city participated in the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, Police Station President Vivek Bharti said that Bakrid is an important festival of the Muslim community, which will be celebrated with mutual brotherhood and peace. He said that the police will keep a close watch on those who try to spread any kind of rumour, create ruckus or spoil the atmosphere during the festival. Especially strict action will be taken against those who put people’s lives at risk by driving Lahariya Cut bike. If caught, he will be sent directly to jail.

The police station chief said that adequate number of police forces will be deployed at all the major intersections and sensitive places of Masaurhi city. Besides, continuous patrolling operations will also be carried out so that the festival can be conducted peacefully.

Social workers and teachers present in the meeting also appealed to the people to maintain peace and harmony. Speakers said that Masaurhi has always been a symbol of Ganga-Jamuni culture and here all the communities celebrate the festival together.

On this occasion, Naval Bharti, Chief Ravi Prakash, teachers Vishwa Ranjan, Krishna Sir, Masood Raja, Dharmendra Kumar, theater artists Lalmohan Singh, Paltan Singh and many social workers, policemen and hundreds of citizens were present.
