Due to the blockage in the Strait of Hormuz, oil supply was affected across the world, due to which there were continuous fluctuations in the prices of crude oil. The government did not pass on the burden of rising costs to consumers for about 78 days after the war started, but later some impact of the increase in prices was passed on to consumers as well.
