PM Modi greets Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis on birthday, lauds state’s growth under his leadership

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday greeted Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on his 56th birthday, saying the state was “scaling new heights of growth” under his leadership.

In a post on X, PM Modi wished Fadnavis a long and healthy life and praised his government’s performance across sectors.

“Greetings to Maharashtra CM Shri Devendra Fadnavis Ji on his birthday. Under his leadership, Maharashtra is scaling new heights of growth across diverse sectors. I pray for his long and healthy life,” the Prime Minister said.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also extended birthday wishes, saying Fadnavis was advancing public welfare and good governance in Maharashtra under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh described Fadnavis as a “dynamic and dedicated leader” committed to transparent governance, infrastructure development and people-centric initiatives, adding that his work was contributing to the vision of a Viksite Bharat.

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also wished Fadnavis on social media, praising his leadership and describing him as a leader with a modern vision for development.

Born on July 22, 1970, in Nagpur, Fadnavis is serving his third term as Maharashtra’s Chief Minister after returning to office in December 2024. He previously served as Deputy Chief Minister in the Eknath Shinde-led government between 2022 and 2024 and was Leader of the Opposition in the Maharashtra Assembly from 2019 to 2022.
