PM Modi’s big attack in Bengal elections: Targeted at TMC, praised the Election Commission, see what he said
Nadia. Voting is going on for 152 seats under the first phase of assembly elections in West Bengal. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a huge public meeting in Krishnanagar in Nadia district, where while praising the Election Commission, he made a scathing attack on the state government and TMC.
Prime Minister Modi said that this is the first election in the last 50 years in which the level of violence is being seen very low. He said that earlier there was an atmosphere of fear and anarchy, but now the dignity of democracy is being restored. PM Modi praised the Election Commission and said that the Commission has played an important role in ensuring fair and peaceful voting in Bengal.
He also praised the government employees of the state and said that the voting figures so far are breaking all previous records. Modi said that today the victory of trust over fear is visible in Krishnanagar and voices suppressed for a long time are now coming out openly.
Taking aim at TMC, PM Modi sarcastically said, “I ate Jhalmuri and TMC is feeling the chilliness.” He alleged that there is huge public resentment against TMC’s local leaders, ministers and their network and the party is facing difficulties at many places.
The Prime Minister further said that this election is not being fought by political parties, but by the people of West Bengal themselves. He said that there is a wave of change in the entire state and people are moving out of fear towards faith and development.
