Vadodara: Prime Minister Narendra Modi targeted Congress at the NaMo for Viksit Bharat program organized in Vadodara, Gujarat on Tuesday. Taking a jibe at the opposition party as ‘angry uncle’, he said that some people can never be happy with India’s development. PM Modi said that his visit is aimed at further accelerating the journey of developed India.
PM Modi’s emphasis on accelerating the journey of developed India
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given a warm welcome at the NaMo for Viksit Bharat program organized in Vadodara. Addressing the gathering, he said that his visit to Vadodara is aimed at further accelerating the journey of making India a developed nation.
PM Modi said, “I have come among you to further accelerate the journey of developed India.” He also mentioned the development projects in Vadodara and Gujarat during the programme.
The Prime Minister said that just some time ago, the foundation stone of projects worth thousands of crores of rupees related to the development of the country has been laid and inaugurated. He also appreciated the cleanliness welcome campaign run by the people of Vadodara.
People of Vadodara praised for cleanliness campaign
PM Modi also mentioned the cleanliness campaign organized in the city along with the development projects. He said that in this celebration of development, the citizens of Vadodara launched a welcome campaign of cleanliness with a spirit of service.
The Prime Minister congratulated and appreciated every citizen of Vadodara for this. In his address, along with development works, citizen participation and cleanliness were also given importance.
Again taunted Congress with ‘angry uncle’
During the program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again took a jibe at Congress by calling him ‘angry uncle’. “Some people can never be happy with India’s development,” he said.
This statement of PM Modi came out as a political sarcasm on Congress. He targeted the opposition by mentioning the work being done towards the development of India.
All seats of the program were booked within an hour
Regarding the NaMo for Viksit Bharat program, the organizers said that all the seats were booked within an hour of the start of online ticket sales. Musical and cultural presentations also took place in the programme.
Queen band’s popular song ‘We Will Rock You’ was also performed during the event. Along with PM Modi’s address, the program also included development, cleanliness and cultural presentations.
