PM Modi’s Video on Paper Leaks Adds Nearly 1 Million Instagram Followers Overnight

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s video message addressing the issue of examination paper leaks has reportedly added nearly one million followers to his Instagram account overnight, taking his total following on the platform to almost 101 million.
The late-night video, in which the Prime Minister spoke about the government’s response to alleged paper leaks and outlined proposed reforms, drew significant engagement on social media.
According to official figures, PM Modi remains the world’s most-followed politician and global leader on Instagram, with a follower base substantially larger than many other international leaders.
In his address, the Prime Minister acknowledged the anxiety caused by paper leaks to students and their families and said the Union government had taken multiple steps over the past two-and-a-half months to tackle examination-related malpractices.
“I am aware that paper leaks cause immense distress to students and their parents,” he said, adding that those responsible had been identified, arrested and jailed.
Modi said the government had mobilized all available resources to ensure examinations were conducted without delay for nearly 22 lakh students. He also noted that the examination results were declared on July 19 and congratulated successful candidates.
Reiterating the Centre’s commitment to strengthening the examination system, the Prime Minister said the government was working on measures including fast-track courts and stricter punishment for those involved in paper leaks and examination fraud.
His remarks come amid nationwide protests over the alleged NEET paper leak and demands for greater transparency and accountability in the examination process.
