Mohanlalganj, Lucknow. The conspiracy of miscreants trying to target India One ATM located on Maurwana Road in Mohanlalganj town was foiled due to the vigilance of the police. Police started investigation after seeing a suspicious car near the ATM during patrolling. As soon as they saw the police, two youths present near the car started running away. The police team chased and caught a young man, while his companion escaped taking advantage of the darkness.
Inspector Mohanlalganj Ram Babu Singh was patrolling the area with the police team on Friday. Meanwhile, a suspicious car was seen parked near the ATM in the town. On suspicion, town outpost in-charge Atul Singh reached the spot with the police team and started investigating the car. Seeing the police action, both the youth present there started running away. Policemen chased and caught a young man.
According to the police, the miscreants had damaged the screen, keypad, card reader and other parts of the ATM machine. Apart from this, the camera installed in the ATM was also stolen. The police is interrogating the arrested youth about his absconding accomplice and other people involved in the incident.
In connection with the incident, Mohanlalganj police have registered a case on the complaint of India One ATM franchise partner Rahul Gupta. To arrest the absconding accused, the police team is raiding his possible hideouts. Police say that on the basis of interrogation of the arrested accused, efforts are being made to reach out to other people associated with the gang.
