Tezzbuzz Desk- Political turmoil has intensified in Ambedkar Nagar over the death of IPS officer Ashutosh Mishra's mother Indra Devi under suspicious circumstances. Samajwadi Party has decided to send its delegation to Ambedkarnagar to know the real status of the matter. The SP delegation will reach village Rudha today, August 20, and meet the bereaved family.
The list of leaders included in the delegation has been released by SP State President Shyam Lal Pal. This includes Leader of Opposition Mata Prasad Pandey, Jalalpur MLA Rakesh Pandey and many MLAs, former MLAs and party officials. After meeting the family and gathering information about the incident, the delegation will submit its report to the state office.
Earlier on Wednesday, Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai had also reached the residence of IPS Ashutosh Mishra and met the family and expressed his condolences.
IPS Ashutosh Mishra reacted publicly for the first time on Tuesday regarding his mother's death. Expressing displeasure over the unconfirmed information and rumors coming out regarding the incident, he had appealed to the people not to share any kind of information without confirmation. He also expressed confidence in the police officers regarding fair investigation.
Post mortem report did not reveal the cause of death
Let us tell you that Indra Devi, the elderly mother of IPS officer Ashutosh Mishra, posted as housing construction in-charge in Lucknow, died under suspicious circumstances on Saturday night. Initial information suggested murder, but the clear cause of death could not be determined in the post-mortem report.
Police are currently investigating the matter. At the same time, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has already raised questions on the Yogi government regarding this incident. Expressing concern over the safety of policemen in the state, he had targeted the government. After this the matter has also come under political discussion.
Now after the SP delegation reaches Ambedkar Nagar, political activities regarding the matter are likely to intensify further.
