Postal department employees fight hard, announce 60 days bonus

New Delhi. Before Diwali, a relief news has emerged for the postal department employees. For the financial year 2025-26, the department has approved giving 60 days of Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) to eligible employees. Along with regular employees, this decision will also benefit Gramin Dak Sevaks and some casual laborers who fulfill the prescribed conditions.

Which employees will get bonus?

The scope of this announcement of the Postal Department includes eligible employees of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), Group C and Non-Gazetted Group B. Apart from this, Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) will be given ex-gratia bonus as per rules and ad-hoc bonus to eligible casual labourers.

How will the bonus be calculated?

The amount of bonus will be decided on the basis of eligible average monthly salary of the employee and the number of bonus days. The maximum monthly salary for this will be considered to be ₹ 7,000. If the eligible average monthly salary of a regular employee is ₹7,000, he can get approximately ₹13,816 as bonus for 60 days. However, not all employees will receive the same amount. Actual payment will be determined as per their eligible salary, period of work and departmental rules.

Gramin Dak Sevaks and casual laborers also benefit

The bonus of Gramin Dak Sevaks will be calculated on the basis of their eligible Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) and Dearness Allowance. At the same time, to get the bonus, casual laborers will have to fulfill the prescribed service period and working conditions.
