Power is about to change in Bengal! The trends of election results of Assam, Kerala, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu are giving big indications.

New Delhi: Counting of votes for assembly elections is going on in West Bengal, Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Initial trends are clearly indicating that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is making good gains in these states. These trends are pointing towards a big victory for BJP.

BJP’s easy victory in Assam

BJP seems to be in the strongest position in Assam. According to early trends, BJP has majority in the 126-member assembly. 94Has reached the seats. If these trends continue then BJP is going to form government in Assam on its own for the first time. This can prove to be a big milestone for the party in the North-East.

Historic opportunity in West Bengal

In West Bengal, BJP is giving a tough competition to the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC). Trends show that BJP is leading on more seats than TMC. If these trends continue till the end, then BJP can form the government in Bengal, which will be a historic victory for it.

The special thing is that even in Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s stronghold Bhawanipur seat, BJP’s Suvendu Adhikari is leading over Mamata. This is considered a big blow for TMC.

BJP’s penetration increased in South India

BJP is also performing well in southern states like Kerala and Tamil Nadu. In Kerala, BJP is ahead on two seats, which is better than the zero performance in 2021. Whereas in Tamil Nadu, BJP is leading on five seats, which is one more than the last election. These trends indicate the strengthening of BJP’s roots in South India.

What is the overall trend?

The initial trends of the four states make one thing clear that the popularity of BJP is spreading from North-East to South India. BJP’s performance looks most impressive with an absolute majority in Assam and a possible big victory in Bengal.

The gains in Kerala and Tamil Nadu may be small in terms of seats, but they are proof of the rightness of the party’s strategy. Awaiting the final results, which will be revealed soon.
