Pakistan Blast: A major explosion occurred in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Friday, in which at least 15 people died, while more than 50 people are said to be injured. This incident took place near the mosque located in Police Lines of Kohat district. The blast occurred when people were gathered there for Friday prayers.

According to the information, the explosion was so powerful that a deep crater was formed at the spot and the outer part of the mosque was also damaged. Information about damage to a wall has come to light. Policemen are also said to be among the injured.
Immediately after the blast, security forces and relief teams surrounded the area. The injured were taken to Kohat District Headquarters Hospital, where emergency arrangements were activated after a large number of patients arrived. The administration also stopped traffic on Kohat-Hangu road in view of security.

According to initial reports, the blast occurred near the gate of the mosque in the Police Lines complex. Currently, investigation is going on regarding the reasons behind the incident and who is behind the explosion. There has been no confirmation yet from any organization taking responsibility.
This incident has once again raised questions regarding the security arrangements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This area has been affected by terrorist violence and security related incidents for a long time.
