Prashant Kishore is the owner of Rs 198 crore, entire wealth revealed in election affidavit

Founder of Jan Suraj Party and election strategist turned leader Prashant Kishore has filed nomination for the by-election of Bankipur assembly seat of Bihar. This is the first election of his political career. In the election affidavit submitted along with the nomination, he has disclosed the total assets of his family worth more than Rs 198 crore. Complete details of his properties, both movable and immovable, are given in the affidavit.

 

After filing his nomination, Prashant Kishore said that this is not just his nomination but the beginning of political change in Bihar. He said that the time has come to remove leaders with criminal image from the politics of the state. Bankipur seat is considered a strong stronghold of BJP and Prashant Kishore is trying his political luck for the first time in this by-election.

His doctor wife is richer than PK

According to the election affidavit, Prashant Kishor, his wife Jhanvi Das and one dependent member have total movable assets worth Rs 111.78 crore.

  • Prashant Kishor (himself): He has movable assets worth Rs 22.19 crore, which include FD worth Rs 7.36 crore in HDFC Bank and cash worth Rs 65,570. He also has a gold ring with emerald.
  • Jhanvi Das (wife): He has movable assets worth Rs 89.51 crore in his name. This includes shares in a company named ‘Vedhas Ventures Private Limited’ with book value of about Rs 95.26 crore and gold and silver jewelery worth Rs 64.58 lakh.
  • Dainik Bhardwaj (Dependent Member): Movable assets worth Rs 7.19 lakh have been declared in his name.

Luxurious house in Delhi-Patna

In terms of immovable property, Prashant Kishore has property worth Rs 73.87 crore and his wife has property worth Rs 12.42 crore.

  • Land and House: There is a closed rice mill worth Rs 9.75 crore in Rohtas, Bihar. Apart from this, there are many residential buildings in Patna, New Delhi, Ghaziabad and Buxar. PK’s self-purchased property is worth Rs 59.25 crore, while he has inherited property worth Rs 14.62 crore.
  • Debt: Prashant Kishore has a loan of Rs 5.77 crore (which is mostly a loan taken against bank FD). His wife has a liability of about Rs 55.38 lakh. It is a matter of relief that both of them do not have any tax or government dues.
