President Draupadi Murmu, PM Modi and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi congratulated the countrymen on Kargil Vijay Diwas.
Kargil Vijay Diwas: Today (26th July) the entire country is celebrating Kargil Vijay Diwas. It is a day of pride, honor and patriotism for Indians, when the Indian Army achieved a historic victory in the 1999 Kargil war by completely repelling the Pakistan-supported infiltrators. On this occasion, all the leaders of the country including President Draupadi Murmu, PM Narendra Modi and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi have congratulated the countrymen.

Recalling the valor of the Indian Army, PM Modi said in an ex-post, “On Kargil Vijay Diwas, our nation expresses its gratitude to the extraordinary courage and dedication of the brave soldiers for the security of India. Their indomitable courage even in the most difficult circumstances will always remain a source of national pride. Their unwavering patriotism and devotion to duty will continue to inspire generations.”
Leader of Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi wrote, “Humble tribute to all the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice while protecting India’s border on Kargil Vijay Diwas. The country will always be indebted to your courage, bravery and supreme sacrifice.” Let us tell you that there was a war between India and Pakistan in Kargil for about 60 days. It is celebrated every year as Kargil Vijay Diwas to pay tribute to the brave soldiers of the Indian Army in the 1999 Kargil War.
