Lucknow, Read: The sudden flood in Rasuwa district of Nepal has caused severe devastation. Expressing India's solidarity with flood-affected Nepal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Prime Minister Balendra Shah and assured all possible humanitarian assistance from India.
“Spoke to Prime Minister Balendra Shah and expressed condolences on the loss of lives due to floods in Nepal,” Prime Minister Modi said in a post on social media platforms on Wednesday.
He said that the people of India stand in solidarity with their sisters and brothers in Nepal in these difficult times.” The Prime Minister said that Indian teams are coordinating for rescue and relief efforts. He said, “India is ready to provide all possible humanitarian assistance to Nepal. Our teams are closely coordinating for rescue and relief efforts.” At least 384 tourists and travelers are reported missing, while eight have been confirmed dead after Wednesday's landslide and massive flood near the Nepal-China border. The incident has caused massive destruction in the surrounding areas.
