Police have arrested four accused in the case of lynching of property dealer Manjeet Singh alias Bunty over a property dispute in Kalkaji area of South Delhi. The arrested accused include Rajendra Singh alias Rajji, his wife and their two sons. At the same time, another accused in the case is said to be absconding.
Property dispute became the reason for murder
According to the information, Manjeet Singh used to frequently visit the office of Surya Building Construction Company located on L-8 ground floor in Kalkaji. It is being told that many other property dealers also used to come to this office.
Manjeet Singh was getting the work done on the balcony of the building. Controversy started regarding this construction. MCD had pasted a booking notice on the building regarding the construction. The dispute between the two parties regarding this issue escalated and an incident of fighting took place.

During the dispute, Manjeet Singh was allegedly assaulted, in which he was seriously injured. He died later. After the incident, the police started investigating the case and identified the accused and arrested four people. According to the police, the search for another accused involved in the case is going on. Police is raiding possible locations for his arrest.
Two policemen present in line for negligence
Police action in the case has also come under question. The beat officer and the duty officer have been sent to the line for alleged negligence regarding the dispute. The police is now investigating the entire incident and also finding out what action was taken at the local level after receiving information about the dispute.
