23 year old left arm wrist spinner Sufiyan Muqeem received the Player of the Tournament and Best Bowler of the Tournament awards. In return he also received lakhs of rupees, the total amount of which is a little more than 22 lakhs in Indian rupees. Sufiyan Muqeem had received the prize money in Pakistani rupees. He received 3 lakh Pakistani rupees for Player of the Tournament and 3.5 lakh Pakistani rupees for Bowler of the Tournament.

Award named after Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan

Sufiyan Muqeem dedicated both the awards he won for his strong performance in PSL 2026 to the person born in India. He named this award to Bhopal-born Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan. Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan was born in Bhopal in 1936 and migrated to Pakistan in 1952. Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan is called the father of Pakistan’s nuclear weapon program. He founded Kahuta Research Laboratories in 1974. The credit for making Pakistan the world’s first Islamic country with nuclear power in 1998 goes to Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan. Pakistan has recognized him as a national hero.
