Youth Employment : Punjab Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan today said that the Punjab Government has provided more than 67,000 government jobs to the youth of the state on the basis of merit alone. He stressed that this massive recruitment drive has played an important role in successfully curbing the trend of going abroad by providing new employment opportunities to the youth in their own state.
The round of political recommendations ends
Speaker Sandhwan said that there has been a big change in the recruitment process in the state. He said that the era of bribery, nepotism and political recommendations in getting government jobs has completely ended. The entire recruitment process has been made fair, transparent and recommendation-free by the present government, under which only eligible candidates are being selected.
Government aims to empower the youth
Referring to the priorities of the government, he said that since assuming office, the main objective of the government has been to empower the unemployed youth, so that they can realize their dreams and move towards a prosperous and secure future.
