To achieve this objective, Minister of Horticulture, Freedom Fighters and Defense Services Welfare, Shri Mohinder Bhagat, while reviewing the progress of work of the Horticulture Department in Chandigarh today, directed the officials to complete the ongoing recruitment process in the department as soon as possible. Shri Mohinder Bhagat said that availability of adequate staff in the department will lead to more effective implementation of public welfare schemes of the government and the gardeners will get better services on time.

He directed the officials to conduct the recruitment process in a transparent and time bound manner. During the meeting, Secretary Horticulture Shri Arshdeep Singh Thind and Director Horticulture Shri Manish Kumar gave detailed information to the Cabinet Minister about various programmes, development works and other important activities being run by the department. The Cabinet Minister expressed satisfaction over the progress of the projects of the department and directed the officials to maintain constant touch with the farmers so that they can be connected to the horticulture sector and get maximum benefits of the government schemes.
