Targeting BJP, Rahul Gandhi said that the party wants to implement Bihar-like model in Tamil Nadu also. He also said that BJP tries to establish control over the states through its allies. Rahul Gandhi also hit out at the AIADMK, saying it too has “kneeled” before the BJP, taking advantage of which the RSS is trying to rule indirectly.
Referring to ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ in his address, Rahul Gandhi said that all the states and languages of the country should get equal importance. He accused the BJP of weakening the Constitution and the federal structure, saying the party was trying to “run the states from Delhi”. Referring to the situation in Manipur, Rahul Gandhi said that this once peaceful state is now going through a serious crisis and held BJP responsible for it. He alleged that wherever BJP gets a chance, it tries to control the states from the Center by capturing power.
