Rain Alert: 2 more days of rain in many states including Delhi-UP, IMD issued alert

New Delhi: The weather has suddenly taken a turn in North India. Due to rain and strong winds in many states in the last two days, a significant drop in temperature has been recorded, which has given relief to the people from the scorching heat. This changed pattern of weather is likely to continue for the next two days.

According to the Meteorological Department, the impact of storm, rain and strong winds will be seen in many states including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Rajasthan till May 30 and 31. There are indications of continuation of rainfall activities in the hilly states and some parts of Central India also.

The weather will be pleasant in Delhi

After the recent rains in the capital Delhi, the temperature has dropped by 5 to 7 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain, thunder and strong winds at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour on May 30.

Apart from this, an alert has been issued for winds blowing at a speed of 70 to 80 kilometers per hour along with thunderstorms in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Eastern Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of light rain and thunderstorm in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi.

Warning of strong storm in Rajasthan

In Rajasthan, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding strong storm. The weather may change suddenly in many areas of the state and rainfall activities may be seen along with strong winds.

Chances of rain in Uttarakhand and Himachal

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand. Strong winds can also blow at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour in these areas.

It is also expected to rain in Himachal Pradesh on May 30. There is a possibility of light to heavy rain in many areas including Western Uttar Pradesh, Noida and Ghaziabad on May 30.

Weather will remain active in Uttar Pradesh for two days

A warning has been issued for light to moderate rain along with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds in Uttar Pradesh on May 30 and 31. The effect of weather can be seen in many parts of the state.

Weather will change in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh also

There are chances of light to moderate rain in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh on June 1 and 2. Along with this, the possibility of thunder, lightning and strong winds has also been expressed.

There is a possibility of heavy rain in Western Madhya Pradesh on 31 May and 1 June. Whereas there may be rain in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra on June 2.

Rain alert in Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat also

According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light to moderate rain in Goa and Konkan region from May 31 to June 4. Rainfall activities are likely to continue in Central Maharashtra from May 30 to June 3 and in Marathwada region from May 31 to June 3.

Apart from this, an alert has been issued in Gujarat for light to moderate rain, thunder and lightning from May 30 to June 4.
