Rain Alert – Heavy Rain Lashes & Hailstorm in Jaipur, Warning Expected in 23 Districts
Jaipur Rain Alert: The Southwest Monsoon is now fully active across Rajasthan. Heavy rainfall is occurring in several parts of the state, including the capital, Jaipur. Around 5 PM on Monday, Jaipur experienced heavy rain accompanied by hailstorms. The onset of rain has led to a drop in maximum temperatures, providing residents with significant relief from the heat; Prior to this, people had been struggling with intense heatwave conditions for the past few days. The Meteorological Department has issued rain alerts for most districts in Rajasthan.
Rainfall Begins in Jaipur
Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds was recorded in Jaipur late Sunday night, around 1 AM. The rainfall made the weather pleasant, offering relief from both the heat and humidity. However, waterlogging has been observed in several low-lying areas. The Meteorological Department has issued warnings for heavy to very heavy rainfall in 23 districts of the state between July 6 and July 9.
Hailstorm in Jaipur
Temperatures in Jaipur have dropped due to the sudden change in weather, which brought rain and hailstorms. Hail fell in several areas, and the weather has turned noticeably cool. According to the Meteorological Department, thunderstorms and hailstorms are forecast for various parts of the state in the coming days.

‘Orange’ and ‘Yellow’ Alerts Issued for These Districts
According to the latest warning from the Meteorological Center in Jaipur, alerts for heavy rain accompanied by strong storms have been issued for several districts in the state in the coming hours. The Meteorological Department has categorized the districts into two groups.
Orange Alert: The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Nagaur, Didwana-Kuchaman, Sikar, Jaipur, Ajmer, and Tonk. Gusty winds at 40–60 km/h and moderate to heavy rainfall, accompanied by intense thunderstorms, are expected in these districts.

Yellow Alert: The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Jhunjhunu and Churu. Strong winds at speeds of 30–40 km/h and light to moderate rainfall are likely in these areas.
