Mumbai Comedian Samay Raina on Friday released another episode of 'India's Got Latent' Season 2, parts of which later went viral on social media. This episode has come into limelight because of the alleged comments made about the people of Bihar and Kashmiri Pandits; These comments were made during a conversation between Raina and stand-up comedian Sharon Verma. The conversation started when Samay, in his typical style, introduced Sharon to the audience and joked about her being from Bihar. He said, 'He is from Bihar.
She is so Bihari that she thinks 'Ebola' means someone has said something. Sharon joked about Samay's Kashmiri roots and replied, 'Samay is so Kashmiri that he loves getting 'stoned' (getting drunk).' Samay continued the joke and said, 'Sharon Verma is a Bihari who came to Mumbai in search of a job. Just Bihari things. Then Sharon said, 'At least, I left my kingdom of my own free will.'

BJP MLA Ram Kadam criticized these alleged comments and said that they were made to gain publicity. There are some forces in the society who deliberately give controversial statements just to get publicity. His only aim is to become famous. We need to understand that the Gods and Goddesses of Sanatan Hindu religion and Kashmiri Pandits cannot be made a subject of joke. He further said, 'One cannot knowingly do objectionable work and just apologize later. Meanwhile, they get the free publicity they wanted across the country.

Speaking to news agency IANS, a Kashmiri Pandit reacted to these comments and said, 'Look, whatever conversation Samay Raina had, there is no need to give too much importance to it. It was a comedy show and can only be called a comedy show. If I am a Kashmiri Pandit, I have the right to travel anywhere in the world; This is our fundamental right.
'Similarly, if a person from Bihar goes to Bombay, it is his fundamental right. They can go anywhere in the country and stay anywhere for job or any other reason. Now, as far as their interactions are concerned, when you go to a comedy show, there is a lot of banter. This should not be taken personally nor should much importance be given to who said what to whom, he further said.
