IPL 2026: Rajat Patidar breaks Chris Gayle’s big record

Delhi: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar, who is batting brilliantly in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, has made another big achievement in his name with his explosive batting. Patidar has now reached third place in the list of batsmen who have hit 100 sixes in the fewest number of balls in IPL history. In this matter, he even left behind former Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman Chris Gayle.

Completed 100 sixes in 933 balls

Rajat Patidar completed his 100 sixes in IPL in just 933 balls. With this he broke the record of Chris Gayle, who had achieved this milestone in 943 balls. Patidar’s aggressive batting has made him one of the most dangerous batsmen in the league.

Only two batsmen are ahead of Patidar

The record of hitting the fastest 100 sixes in IPL is in the name of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) star all-rounder Andre Russell. He achieved this feat in just 657 balls. At the same time, Lucknow Super Giants’ explosive batsman Nicholas Puran had completed 100 sixes in 884 balls. Now Rajat Patidar has reached third place in this special list.

These players were also left behind

During this record, apart from Chris Gayle, Rajat Patidar also left behind big hitters like Sunil Narine and Shivam Dubey. Sunil Narine completed his 100 IPL sixes in 950 balls, while Shivam Dubey completed his 100 IPL sixes in 992 balls.
