Ram Bharos, safety standards at Anand Vihar station, passengers coming and going without checking
Anand Vihar Railway Station is one of the most prominent railway stations of the country’s capital Delhi. From here, trains are run to the eastern and north-eastern Indian states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Assam. But, the security of this railway station is being run by Ram. Here, passengers are going through checking gates from two places at the main gate, but there are two such gates on both sides of the gate, from where people are coming and going inside the station premises without security check, due to which serious questions are being raised on the security of Anand Vihar Railway Station.
Passengers/suspects can come in and out without security check at both the exit gates at Anand Vihar Railway Station. The soldiers deployed here were not seen stopping people from coming inside the station premises from both the gates. The passengers who came inside the station also had luggage/baggage with them. During an hour, 50 to 60 passengers were seen coming inside the station premises with luggage but the security personnel were seen sitting in front of the cooler and using mobile phones.

Despite the force, gross negligence came to light
This kind of attitude towards security is a huge mess with the safety of Anand Vihar Railway Station, Rajdhani, Garib Rath Express, Humsafar and other superfast trains running from here and the passengers. Any suspicious person can go inside the premises with weapons, which can lead to a major incident. But, despite the presence of forces like RPF and GRP at the railway station, such gross negligence has come to light.

RPF Inspector cited lack of force
However, the responsibility of security of the railway station rests with the RPF. When ‘Khabargaon’ talked to Inspector Nakul, Inspector-in-charge (RPF) of Anand Vihar Railway Station about this, he cited the shortage of security personnel at the station.
He said that there are thousands of passengers coming and going at the railway station every day, on the negligence of the constable on duty at the exit gate, he replied that some people entering through the exit gate are staff, who are allowed to go, however later he alerted the constables at all the gates and then no passenger was allowed to enter through the exit gate.

Importance of Anand Vihar Railway Station
The importance of Anand Vihar railway station can be gauged from the fact that about 60 trains come and go from here every day. In such a situation, more than one lakh passengers travel at the station every day. Despite such a large number of passengers, there are only 120 RPF security personnel here. It is clear that there is only one soldier among 834 passengers.
