‘Ramayana’ will create new history! Makers eyeing music deal worth Rs 100 crore, competition among big music labels

Bollywood Updates: Ranbir Kapoor and Yash starrer much-awaited film ‘Ramayana’ is on its way to create new records even before its release. First the pre-release business of the film made headlines, now there is a huge discussion in the industry about its music rights deal. It is reported that producer Namit Malhotra wants to make a deal of ₹ 100 crore for the music rights of the first part of the film, which if successful, will become Bollywood’s biggest music rights deal.

According to reports, the makers have received offers ranging between ₹60 crore and ₹70 crore so far, but they are trying to get a three-digit deal. It is being told that this deal will be for global music rights of all languages ​​and currently talks are going on only for ‘Ramayana: Part-1’.

Many big music companies of the country are involved in the race to buy the music rights of the film. These are said to include big names like T-Series, Sony Music, Universal and Saregama. According to media reports, T-Series has made an offer of around ₹60 crore, while Sony Music has made an offer of around ₹70 crore.

Even if this deal is finalized at ₹70 crore, it will still be the biggest music rights deal in the Hindi film industry so far. Currently, this record is in the name of Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, whose music rights were bought by T-Series for about ₹ 54 crore.

‘Ramayana’, being made under the direction of Nitesh Tiwari, will be released in two parts. The first part is set to be released in theaters on Diwali this year, while the second part will be released on Diwali next year. In the film, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen playing the role of Lord Shri Ram, Sai Pallavi Mata Sita, Yash Ravana, Sunny Deol Hanuman, Ravi Dubey Laxman and Arun Govil will be seen playing the role of King Dasharatha.

Considering the film’s star cast, grand scale and record-breaking business, it is believed that ‘Ramayana’ can break many old records of Bollywood even before its release.
