Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Ramayana’ locks November release date

Sony Pictures Entertainment is reportedly bringing the highly anticipated Ramayana to theaters worldwide on November 6, as per reports.

Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi, the epic follows exiled prince Rama (Ranbir) and his consort Sita (Sai Pallavi) as their journey through exile descends into catastrophe.

When Sita is abducted by Ravana (Yash), the tragedy sets the stage for an epic war between righteousness and evil.

Nitesh Tiwari is directing the ambitious two-part adaptation, which will be released in multiple languages, including English, to reach audiences across cultures.

Released earlier this summer, the trailer teased high-scale visual effects, mythological weaponry and massive battle sequences, with Rama vowing to defeat Ravana across the three worlds and rescue Sita as the era of Rama begins.

The film’s epic score brings together Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman, with Terry Notary and Guy Norris overseeing the action choreography and Ramsey Avery and Ravi Bansal serving as production designers.

Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations produce the film, with Ramayana Part 1 arriving during the Diwali holiday frame and Part 2 following in time for Diwali 2027.
