Randeep Hooda's 2016 film 'Sarabjeet' is counted among the best films of his career. In this film made under the direction of Umang Kumar, he played the role of a prisoner named Sarabjit, who is lodged in a jail in Pakistan. For the role of this film, he had to look like a very weak and malnourished prisoner. To fulfill this need, he had lost about 18 kg of weight in just 28 days. Director Omung Kumar had told at that time that Randeep had adopted a very strict diet to get into this character.

After 'Sarabjit', Randeep also changed his look for the 2024 film 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar'. In this he played the role of Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. He also directed this film. 'Itha' will be released on 4th December
Shraddha Kapoor is playing the role of Vithabai in the film, while Randeep Hooda also has an important role. Its music is being composed by Ajay-Atul duo. According to reports, 'Itha' was earlier scheduled to release on 28th August this month but the date was changed. Now the film will be released on 4th December 2026, so it may clash with Prabhas's 'Fauji', which will be released on 3rd December.
