Rani Ki Wawana 3D Projection Mapping Show wins Gold Medal at WOW Awards Asia 2026 Gujarati
Gandhinagar, 13 July 2026: The 3D Projection Mapping Show and Heritage Lighting Project at the UNESCO World Heritage Site ‘Rani Ki Vav’ located in Patan has been honored with the prestigious Gold Award at the 17th WOW Awards Asia 2026. This award has been given in the “Experiential Tech Awards – Achievement in Audio-Visual for an Event” category.
Ranked among the most prestigious heritage monuments of India, Rani Ki Vav attracts a large number of local and international tourists every year. Keeping this in mind, to enhance the tourist experience, the Government of Gujarat had completed the permanent installation of state-of-the-art 3D Projection Mapping Show and Heritage Lighting System at this monument.
This project was virtually inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 31. The appointed agency is responsible for the management and maintenance of the show since its inception. As of July 12, more than 44,209 visitors have viewed this amazing projection mapping show.
This award was given after the implementing agency sent this project for nomination in WOW Awards Asia 2026. The award highlights the innovative use of audio-visual technology to showcase the historical and cultural significance of Gujarat’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, providing visitors with an engaging and immersive heritage experience.
