Redmi K90 Ultra will be launched soon: New gaming phone can come with 8000mAh battery and Snapdragon 8 Elite chip

Xiaomi is preparing to launch its new gaming-focused smartphone Redmi K90 Ultra soon. The company has officially confirmed that this smartphone will be launched in China this month. Although complete information about the launch date and specifications has not been revealed yet, important information regarding the features and price of the phone has come to light through many leaks and reports.

This new smartphone will be an upgraded version of Redmi K80 Ultra launched last year. It is believed that Redmi K90 Ultra can have a large battery, high-refresh rate display and flagship-level processor.

Redmi K90 Ultra launch date
Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of Redmi K90 Ultra. At present, the company has not revealed its exact launch date, but pre-booking of the phone has started in China on platforms like Xiaomi Mall, JD.com and Tmall.

It is worth noting that Redmi K80 Ultra was launched on June 26 last year. In such a situation, it is expected that Redmi K90 Ultra can also be launched officially in the last week of June.

Redmi K90 Ultra Price (Expected)
The company has not yet disclosed the price of the phone. However, Xiaomi President Lu Weibing recently hinted that the Redmi K90 Ultra will be positioned below the Redmi K90 Max and may be priced around CNY 3,000 (approximately ₹41,000).

In comparison, the base variant of Redmi K80 Ultra with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage was launched at a price of CNY 2,599 (about ₹ 31,000).

Redmi K90 Ultra Specifications (Expected)
According to leaks, Redmi K90 Ultra may have a 6.89 inch LTPS OLED display, which will come with 1.5K resolution. The phone is likely to support 165Hz refresh rate, which will make the gaming and scrolling experience quite smooth.

Apart from this, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers and premium metal frame can also be provided in the smartphone.

Processor and Software
Redmi K90 Ultra can be specially designed keeping gaming users in mind. According to reports, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset can be given in it. For better thermal management, active cooling system and built-in cooling fan can also be seen in the phone. Apart from this, the device is also likely to get IP68 rating, which will provide it protection from dust and water.

Talking about software, this smartphone can work on Android 16 based HyperOS 3.

Not much changes can be seen in the camera section. According to reports, dual rear camera setup can be given in Redmi K90 Ultra, which can include 50MP primary camera and 8MP ultra-wide camera. The phone is expected to have a 20MP front camera for selfies and video calling.

Battery and Charging
The biggest feature of Redmi K90 Ultra may be its battery. According to leaks, the phone can be provided with a battery of 8,000mAh or larger.

Its availability with 100W fast charging support has been recently confirmed by a 3C certification listing. For comparison, the Redmi K80 Ultra had a 7,410mAh battery.
