Chhapra (Saran). In view of the increasing crowd of passengers during Diwali and Chhath festival, many special trains are being operated by North Eastern Railway. For the convenience of passengers in these trains, information about berths available on various dates till November 10, 2026 has been released. In the list released by the Railways on the basis of availability on the evening of 26th October, seats in air-conditioned and sleeper class have been stated to be available in many special trains running from Chhapra.
According to the press release issued by Sumit Kumar, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Eastern Railway, passengers can travel during festivals by reserving available berths as per their convenience.
Special trains from Chhapra to Delhi and Pathankot:
In train number 05085 going from Chhapra to Anand Vihar Terminal on October 27, 83 berths are available in second air-conditioned class, 270 in third class and 82 berths in third economy class. As on November 3, this train has six berths available in first air-conditioned class, 99 in second class, 336 in third class, 119 in third economy and 92 in sleeper class. At the same time, on November 10, 33 berths are available in second air-conditioned class, 252 in third class and 74 in third economy class.
In Chhapra-Pathankot special train number 05193, on November 2, 75 berths are available in second air-conditioned class, 295 in third air-conditioned class and 99 berths in third economy class. As on November 9, this train has 54 berths available in second air-conditioned class, 296 in third air-conditioned class, 107 in third economy and three in sleeper class.
Also options for those going to Surat and Jalna:
Chhapra-Surat special train number 09066 has 472 berths available in third air-conditioned class on 28th October. On November 4, this train has 502 berths in third air-conditioned class and 455 berths in sleeper class.
In Chhapra-Jalna special train number 07652, on October 30, 73 berths in second air-conditioned class, 214 in third air-conditioned class and 519 berths in sleeper class are said to be available.

According to the information released by the Railways, berths are available in various air-conditioned categories in train number 05167 going from Banaras to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus on October 31 and November 7. On November 7, 333 berths were reported available in the sleeper class.
Special trains running from Gorakhpur include Gorakhpur-Shakur Basti, Gorakhpur-Jodhpur, Gorakhpur-Sealdah, Gorakhpur-Dibrugarh and Gorakhpur-Asansol. Berths in air-conditioned and sleeper classes are available in these trains on various dates in the last week of October and first week of November.
Apart from this, berths have also been said to be available in special trains going from Mau to Kolkata, Jodhpur and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and from Ghazipur City to Hadapsar (Pune) on various dates.
Confirmation of availability required before reservation:
Railways has appealed to passengers to avail the berths available in special trains and make reservations well in advance while planning travel during festivals. The figures released are based on the situation on the evening of 26 October 2026. Berth availability may change with reservation, hence it would be advisable to confirm the latest status on Railway's reservation channel before booking tickets.
