River Indie becomes even better after Gen 3 update
Indie is currently the only electric scooter in River Mobility’s portfolio. Since its launch, it has continuously strengthened its market share. The company introduced its Gen 3 version in October 2025, in which many important updates were included.

Features like updated tyres, new instrument display, better smartphone connectivity and hill-hold assist have been added in the new generation. The company says that the riding dynamics of the scooter have also been improved based on customer feedback. This electric scooter is currently available in five attractive exterior color options, which have contrasting black accents.

Big storage is its biggest feature
The biggest strength of River Indie is its practical design. It has 43 liters of under-seat storage and 12 liters of front glove box. In terms of total storage capacity, it is considered to be one of the most spacious electric scooters in India.

Battery, range and performance
River Indie has a 4kWh battery pack and an electric motor giving 9bhp power. According to the company, this scooter offers an IDC certified range of 163 km, while its top speed is 90 km/h.

For charging, the company provides a 750W charger, which charges the battery from 0 to 80 percent in about 5 hours. At the same time, for better safety, the scooter has been provided with Combined Braking System (CBS) with disc brakes on both front and rear wheels.

One lakh units annual production capacity
River Mobility entered the Indian electric scooter market in February 2023 and began production of the Indie in the same year at its 1.20 lakh square feet state-of-the-art manufacturing unit in Hoskote. This plant has automated vehicle and battery pack assembly lines, with an annual production capacity of about one lakh units.

There is direct competition with these scooters
