Shribhoomi: A total of Rs 10 lakh 63 thousand has been collected and deposited for the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. MLA Dr. Milan Das has expressed his gratitude towards various organizations, public representatives, businessmen and common citizens who contributed to this humanitarian initiative. As part of contribution to the relief fund, Hailakandi Municipality contributed Rs 1.67 lakh, Shitanshu Ranjan Pal contributed Rs 50 thousand, Sabhamita Pal contributed Rs 25 thousand, Krishna Gopal Sarada contributed Rs 25 thousand and Lala Municipality contributed Rs 50 thousand. Apart from this, Shishu Sadan High School contributed Rs 51 thousand, Katlichada Business Committee and citizens contributed Rs 3 lakh, Nishit Chaudhary contributed Rs 1 lakh, Dr. Devjit De contributed Rs 1 lakh and Shekhar Das of GP President Association contributed Rs 1 lakh.
At the same time, Birenjit Nath of Katlichhada Mandal contributed Rs 25 thousand, Indrajit Devrai contributed Rs 10 thousand, Suraj Sen contributed Rs 10 thousand and Swapan Bhattacharya contributed Rs 50 thousand. Appreciating the humanitarian initiative, in the message of gratitude issued by MLA Dr. Milan Das, it was said that by standing with the needy people in times of disaster and crisis, the collaborators have set an example of humanity, sensitivity and social responsibility. Their collective effort was described as inspirational for the society.
He said that in times of crisis, different sections of the society coming together to help the needy strengthens social unity and human compassion. He expressed his gratitude towards all the organizations, institutions and citizens who contributed to the relief fund. With the message of “Service to humanity is the greatest religion”, the MLA appealed to all the citizens to come forward and cooperate collectively to help the needy people.
