The Congress high command has taken a big decision on Saturday amid internal strife within the party in Punjab. Sachin Pilot has been made Punjab in-charge in place of Bhupesh Baghel. Baghel has been appointed in-charge of Assam Congress. Former Punjab CM and senior Congress leader Charanjit Singh Channi welcomed the appointment of Sachin Pilot and thanked the Congress high command.
The Congress high command has changed the in-charge of six states. Karnataka Congress in-charge Randeep Surjewala has been made additional in-charge of Gujarat. Apart from this, Sukhdev Bhagat has been appointed in-charge of Chhattisgarh Congress. Dr. Sirivella Prasad Maharashtra and PV. Mohan has been made in-charge of Andhra Pradesh.
