Lalit Modi’s eventful life, from shaping the IPL to his controversy-filled years as its commissioner, is reportedly headed to the big screen.
According to a report by pinkvilla Sajid Nadiadwala is set to produce a biopic on the 62-year-old under his banner, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
Given how many layers there are to Modi’s story, the film is expected to be mounted on a big scale.
A source told the publication, “Lalit Modi’s life has so many different chapters that there is a lot to explore… idea is to tell the story on big screen while also getting into the man behind the headlines.
Writing and development are currently being worked on, and the makers want to get the story right before taking it forward.”
Writer and producer Sneha Rajani is reportedly part of the writing team, something Modi himself had confirmed earlier, revealing that a biopic on his life was in development with Rajani leading the writing process.
Modi’s journey has long been tied to major shifts in Indian sport and business, with his rise and the controversies that followed continuing to draw public interest, making this an intriguing project to watch unfold.
