Salman Khan to kick off Koffee with Karan’s final season

Salman Khan is set to return to Karan Johar’s popular celebrity talk show, Koffee With Karan, as the first guest of its ninth and final season. The upcoming edition will mark the end of the long-running entertainment programme, which has entertained audiences with celebrity interviews and candid conversations for more than two decades.

The announcement was made on October 12, 2026, when JioHotstar released a teaser confirming Salman’s appearance. The final season is scheduled to premiere on October 14, bringing back one of the show’s familiar faces for its farewell run.

In the promotional video, Salman confirms his return in his usual straightforward and confident style. His appearance has created excitement among fans who have followed his previous visits to the famous coffee couch. Known for his candid remarks and entertaining personality, the actor has delivered several memorable moments throughout his time on the show.

Salman has a long history with Koffee With Karan. He previously appeared as the first guest of Season 4, making his return as the opening guest of the final season particularly meaningful. His presence also connects the show’s upcoming farewell edition with some of its most memorable moments from earlier years.

The Bollywood superstar also appeared in the programme’s landmark 100th episode during Season 5. He joined his brothers, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan, for the special appearance. Their conversation offered viewers an opportunity to see the brothers together in a relaxed setting, sharing their experiences and discussing aspects of their personal and professional lives.

Salman’s return is expected to bring a familiar atmosphere to the show’s final chapter. Although details about the conversation have not been fully revealed, his previous appearances have demonstrated his ability to keep audiences engaged with his honest opinions and spontaneous responses.

The announcement comes shortly after Karan Johar confirmed that Koffee Wit Karan would end with its ninth season. The filmmaker and television host shared the news on Instagram, making it clear that the upcoming edition would serve as the final instalment of the popular franchise.

Since its debut in 2004, Koffee With Karan has established itself as one of India’s most recognisable celebrity talk shows. Across eight completed seasons, the programme has released 161 episodes featuring prominent actors, filmmakers and other well-known personalities from the entertainment industry.

The show became widely known for its informal conversations, personal questions and discussions that often attracted considerable public attention. Guests have spoken about their careers, friendships, relationships, professional rivalries and experiences in the film industry. Some of these conversations have generated headlines and sparked discussions among fans on social media.

Karan’s hosting style has also played an important role in the programme’s popularity. His questions and interactions with guests have helped create an environment where celebrities can share personal stories and reveal different sides of their personalities.

Over the years, the programme has remained a familiar part of India’s entertainment landscape, bringing together major stars and offering audiences a closer look at their lives beyond the screen.

As the show prepares to conclude its journey, the ninth season will give viewers one final opportunity to experience its signature celebrity conversations. Opening the farewell edition with Salman Khan adds a sense of familiarity to the occasion, particularly for audiences who remember his earlier appearances.

The final season of Koffee With Karan will premiere on October 14, 2026, and stream exclusively on JioHotstar. With Salman Khan leading the opening episode, the programme is preparing to begin its final chapter after years of celebrity interviews, memorable exchanges and entertainment industry discussions.
