Talking about relief work, on June 7, 2026, a convoy of KSrelief reached Gaza, carrying baskets full of food items. On the same day, Saudi Central Kitchen distributed 24,800 hot food packets to needy people in the central and southern parts of Gaza. Palestine’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Mazen Ghanem, praised Riyadh’s stance and said that this help is giving strength to the Palestinian people to stand on their land.
Along with humanitarian aid, Saudi Arabia is also supporting Palestine on international forums. Saudi representative to the United Nations, Dr. Abdulaziz Alwasil participated in the emergency meeting of the Security Council. He clearly said that the issue of Palestine is the main reason for the dispute in the Middle East. He called for a two-state solution in which East Jerusalem would be made the capital of an independent Palestinian state.
At the diplomatic level, on July 6, 2026, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman spoke on phone with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. During this, he assured that Saudi Arabia is fully committed to providing the Palestinian people their legitimate rights and establishing a just peace.
On June 26, Dr. Alwasil described the conditions in Gaza as a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law. He appealed to the world to take immediate steps for the safety of common citizens and especially children. Earlier in January 2026, KSrelief head Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah had also given information about Saudi Arabia’s old and historical role in helping Gaza.
