Draft. On the occasion of World Red Cross Day, a grand seminar on the topic “Unity in Humanity” was organized by Masodhi Red Cross on Friday at Shiv Shanti Utsav Hall. In the program, social workers, doctors, educationists and Red Cross volunteers expressed their views on human service and social solidarity.
The first speaker of the program, renowned educationist and former block head Ramakant Ranjan Kishore said that solidarity is very important to protect humanity and the Red Cross has been dedicated to human service since its inception. Samaresh Kumar Samar said that it is a matter of pride for everyone to serve the society through Red Cross.
Vishwaranjan of the Red Cross said that with the cooperation of the local people in the Masaurhi area, the organization has been continuously helping the needy and will continue to do so in future also. Other speakers including Dr. Suryadev Verma, Dr. Vinod Kumar, Sushil Kumar and Veer Bahadur Yadav described human service as true worship.
Jatin Jain, Director of Water Conservation Campaign, who was present as a special guest in the program, described water conservation as the biggest need of the present time and said that “if there is water, there is tomorrow.” He also gave a practical demonstration of better farming with less water and increasing soil fertility through the use of organic fertilizers and organic products.
During this, fire brigade in-charge Amarendra Kumar Sinha and his team made people aware by presenting a mock drill on fire prevention. At the end of the program, Red Cross volunteers distributed sweets among the people and made the passersby drink sherbet.
On the occasion, Santosh Kumar Chitrakar, Virendra Singh, Ritesh Yadav, Munna Singh, Manoj Kumar, Pranav Kumar Singh, Dr. Upendra Kumar, Subodh Sharma, Dharamveer Prasad, Arvind Narayan Singh, Upendra Kumar Nirala, Shravan Malakar, Jitendra Kumar, Rita Sharma, Satya Kumari, Aarti Gupta, Piyush Kumar, Amrit Anand and a large number of social workers, farmers, Red Cross volunteers and common people were present.
