New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi's journey of leadership and public service on the scene of Indian politics is going to touch a new milestone. Bharatiya Janata Party has made large-scale preparations to commemorate the historic occasion of his completion of 25 years in public life. The party is going to launch a month-long special 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' across the country from September 17. During the press conference held in New Delhi on Wednesday, BJP National President Nitin Nabin presented the outline of this nationwide campaign in front of the media. He told that the day of October 7 holds a special place in Indian democratic history.
On this day in 2001, Narendra Modi took oath as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for the first time. His journey from being a loyal organization worker to becoming the principal servant of the world's largest democracy has been directly linked to India's development journey.
Journey from ordinary worker to top leadership
Referring to the political career of the Prime Minister, BJP President Nitin Nabin said that every step and every policy of Narendra Modi in the last 25 years has been inspired by the idea of service to the last person. He made power not just a means of governance but also a medium to achieve the goal of Antyodaya.
The experience of working on the ground as an ordinary party worker gave him the opportunity to deeply understand the real problems of the country, which he later molded into his policies.
Impact of poor welfare and public welfare schemes
In his address, Nitin Nabin underlined the major social welfare schemes of the Central Government. He said that during the tenure of Modi government, the country has made unprecedented progress towards poverty alleviation. Be it ensuring uninterrupted supply of free ration to crores of poor families in times of crisis or running the world's largest and successful vaccination campaign during the Corona pandemic, all these efforts have made the lives of the countrymen safe and accessible.
Enters top 5 global economies from economic stagnation
Recalling the period of 2014, the BJP President said that when there was a change of power at the Centre, the country was struggling with an environment of policy stagnation and despair. India was counted among the group of weak economies on international forums. However, due to the bold economic reforms implemented in the last decade, unprecedented expansion of infrastructure and transparent system, today India stands firmly as the fifth largest economy in the world and is growing at a rapid pace.
Conservation of cultural and heritage
The construction of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya and the renovation of Kashi Vishwanath Dham are proof that India is moving towards modernity by connecting with its roots. Speaking on the national security front, the party president said the country has witnessed unprecedented improvement in internal and external security arrangements. Naxalism and leftist extremism have been limited and pushed to their last breaths. By taking decisive action against terrorism, which once caused fear in the minds of common citizens, a new environment of security and trust has been created among the public.
