Business Desk – Share Market Today: There is a rise in the share market today i.e. on 24th August. Sensex is trading at the level of 77,600, up by about 100 points. Nifty is also at the level of 24,300 with a gain of about 50 points. More buying is being seen in banking and IT shares.
On the other hand, Asian markets are in decline. From today, IPOs of Symbiotech Pharmalab, Hi-Tech Engineers and Skyways Air Services have also opened. Bids can be placed in these till 26th August.

3 IPOs open from today
Today three new IPOs are open for investment in the stock market. Symbiotech Pharmalab wants to raise Rs 1,757 crore through IPO. Whereas Hi-Tech Engineers wants to raise Rs 135.73 crore and Skyways Air Services wants to raise Rs 582.80 crore. Investors will be able to bid in all three IPOs till August 26.
Asian stock markets fall
There is pressure in Asian markets today amid the boom in the Indian market. South Korea's Kospi is down 199 points or 2.67% at 6,737. Japan's Nikkei is trading at 65,969 with a decline of 48 points or 0.07%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng is down 549 points or 2.11% at 25,461.
American markets closed with gains on Friday
Earlier on August 21, there was a rise in the American stock market. The Dow Jones closed at 53,277, up 518 points or 0.98%. Nasdaq gained 113 points or 0.43% and closed at 26,180. The S&P 500 also closed at 7,674, up 33 points or 0.43%.
DII bought shares worth Rs 12,215 crore in 7 days
Buying by domestic institutional investors i.e. DII continues. DII has bought shares worth Rs 12,215 crore in the last 7 days. His purchases in the last 30 days stood at Rs 39,757 crore.
At the same time, FII/FPI have sold shares worth Rs 543 crore in the latest data. However, FII/FPI purchases in the last 7 days were Rs 934 crore and in the last 30 days were Rs 8,464 crore. In the latest figures, DII purchases stood at Rs 2,124 crore.
There was a slight rise in Sensex-Nifty on Friday
Earlier on August 21, there was flat trading in the Indian stock market. The Sensex closed at 77,540, up just 3 points. Whereas Nifty closed at the level of 24,252 with a gain of 20 points.
